More importantly, even if the CBD is high quality and accurately dosed, switching from THC to CBD does not break the anxiety cycle if the underlying pattern is avoidance-based coping. There is one more piece of the anxiety puzzle that most people never consider: it is not just that modern weed has more THC. It is that modern weed has lost the other compounds that may have been protecting you from THC's anxiety effects.
ElSohly's potency analysis found that between 1995 and 2014, while THC content tripled, the CBD-to-THC ratio collapsed from approximately 14:1 to 80:1.[2] CBD nearly vanished from the supply. Does Medical Cannabis Actually Treat Anxiety?

The Other Side of the Paradox
There is a version of this that nobody talks about while they are in the cycle, but that people consistently describe after they have been through it.
Your anxiety regulation system, once it has recovered from chronic THC exposure, works. Not perfectly. Not like a drug that switches anxiety off.
